This online workshop is designed for is aimed at mid-career to senior academics from diverse disciplines who regularly present their work to international, mixed-expertise audiences. Whether speaking to colleagues outside of the field, addressing interdisciplinary panels, or contributing to online colloquia, the challenge is always the same: translating complex research into a clear, engaging, and time-efficient story – in English – without oversimplifying or losing academic precision.
Through a combination of practical input, guided exercises, and peer feedback, participants will learn how to structure an effective online presentation, manage time confidently, and design visuals that support – rather than distract from – their message. The workshop pays particular attention to the communication challenges faced by non-native English speakers, offering strategies for clarity, precision, and audience engagement in a digital environment.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be equipped with practical tools to communicate their research more effectively in online settings — clearly, succinctly, and with lasting impact.
